The East Carolina Wildlife Festival is set to make its return to historic downtown Washington.  Today, the public is invited to the 2019 North Carolina Duck Stamp unveiling at the historic Turnage Theatre at 6:30 p.m., which will kick off the festival. Friday, vendors will be on display at the Civic Center for ticket holders, and the outdoor displays will be open on Stewart Parkway.

A silent auction will begin and be open to the public at the Turnage Theatre beginning at 6 p.m. There is an optional $10 appetizer ticket available for purchase for the auction. Saturday, AOP’s Art Market will be open at the theatre from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., festival exhibits and music for ticket holders will begin at 10 a.m. at the Civic Center with events taking place throughout the downtown area on Stewart Parkway, at Festival Park, the North Carolina Estuarium and at the Turnage Theatre. There will be live music throughout the day in most areas and an Art Walk throughout the galleries downtown Saturday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., just before the improv stylings of the I.C. Comedy Improv group at the Turnage Theatre at 7 p.m. Day or weekend pass tickets are available online or at the door.

Arts of the Pamlico is a state-designated Arts Council and community art space dedicated to bringing diverse artistic projects to Eastern North Carolina. AOP provides access to visual arts, theater, music performances, dance and films offered every month. All are invited to join AOP as a member and help with the vision of continued artistic programming being offered to eastern North Carolina.

Next week, AOP will offer a special Valentine’s Day movie, “Ghost” at 7:30 p.m. for $5, and a bluegrass concert by the Barefoot Movement on Feb.16 at 7 p.m. in association with the Beaufort County Traditional Music Association’s 10^th anniversary.
