Governor offers reward in murder in Northampton County

RALEIGH — Governor Roy Cooper has announced that the state is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Shawte Shaniqua Williams, 24 years old.
On May 2, 2017, Shawte Shaniqua Williams was found deceased in a field near the rail crossing at the intersection of U.S. Highway 301 and Macon Price Road in Garysburg, North Carolina. According to investigators, Williams died from multiple gunshot wounds, including a close-range wound to her temple.
