The Tyrrell County Ministerial Association recently increased the number of weekly food bags it distributes to local middle and high school students.

“We have been receiving 28 bags of food for distribution to CMS and CHS students,” stated Dr. Will Hoffman, superintendent of Tyrrell County Schools. “After a review with counselors and

our school social worker, a request was made to the group to increase the bags to 35. The need for this service has been great this year to support our families, and more students have been identified as needing this support.”

The Association, comprising 11 churches, Columbia Lions Club and Columbia Rotary Club, agreed to the request and upped the weekly distribution from 28 to 35 bags.

“We appreciate this partnership and the blessing of this support for our students and families,” Dr. Hoffman responded.
