On Wednesday, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Emanuel Da’jon Woolard, 25, of 311 Fleming St., Washington. Woolard was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting a public officer and driving while license revoked.

Woolard’s arrest stemmed from investigators conducting a traffic stop on Woolard for driving with revoked license. Investigators conducted a search of Woolard’s vehicle and found a plastic baggie used to package a controlled substance in the driver’s floor board. Investigators questioned Woolard about the found plastic baggie and were in the process of handcuffing Woolard when Woolard attempted to flee on foot. Woolard ran a short distance before being apprehended. Investigators found a plastic bag containing crack cocaine and a plastic bag containing marijuana that Woolard had attempted to discard.

Woolard was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
