FORMER COLUMBIA MAYOR MICHAEL GRIFFIN RECENTLY DONATED a Marquis guitar to the Columbia High/Middle School String Club. Receiving it is club member Dakota Cahoon, a junior (left). The 15 club members practice during breakfast, lunch, and class breaks as well as before and after school. “They teach and encourage each other,” says club adviser Carol Lee. And they would welcome more guitars for students to check out for a semester.
