Public invited to hear special speaker at Temple of Jesus Christ

At 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, Dr. Quantil Melendez will be the guest speaker for the Temple Of Jesus Church Youth Day — Graduation and Moving Forward Celebration. 2018 high school and college graduates will be honored, as well as student promotions from one grade to another.
Dr. Melendez, a Washington native, is a three time graduate of historically black colleges/universities, receiving her bachelor of science at St. Augustine College in Raleigh, her master’s of science at NC A&T State University Greensboro and her PhD at North Carolina Central University in Durham.
Dr. Melendez has received a patent for designing a new test to be used in clinics to help cardiovascular patients receive personalized treatment and prevent the occurrence of diabetes due to generalized treatment being given. She is also currently developing a new drug for cardiovascular patients that will be a personalized option to pair with the new test she has designed.
She is currently the CEO of NIFP Technologies LLC, a drug and diagnostic testing development company partnered with Quest Diagnostics Inc. and North Carolina Central University.
The public is cordially invited to hear Dr. Melendez speak. Light refreshments will be served. The Temple of Jesus Church is located at Eigth and Hackney Streets in Washington. Dr. Bishop James L. Woolard is pastor and his wife and first lady of the church, Mother Georgia Woolard is associate minister.
