Hilton Cutler Woolard, Sr.

Hilton Cutler Woolard, Sr., 83, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018. He was born in Washington, North Carolina on Nov. 13, 1934. Hilton graduated from Bath High School and received his BA from East Carolina University. He was married to Johnnie Jarvis on Feb. 28, 1959, and was a veteran of the USMC. Hilton had a career in Finance, most notably he served 20 years as Treasurer of Jax Liquors and served as Treasurer of Lee and Cates Glass. He was a member of the Southside Rotary Club and Financial Executives Institute of North Florida. He had a passion for golf and travel.

His brothers, Cornelius, Will and Joseph and sisters Beulah Harris Woolard and Lynda Maloney in addition to his parents, Will Frank and Leila Cutler Woolard, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Johnnie; children, Wendy (Kevin) Prindle, Woody (Lynda) Woolard, and Will Woolard (Linda Baugh); grandchildren, John (Wendy) Prindle, Scott Prindle, Brandon, Liam, James and Sophia Woolard; great-granddaughter, Lela Prindle; and sisters, Sue Sharpe and Jennie Waters. A service to celebrate Hilton’s life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, in the chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
