Amy Ruth Miller, 57, a native of Plymouth, N.C., daughter of Ruth and the late John E. Miller, succumbed to the ravages of cancer July 3, 2011, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She lived in Raleigh for 28 years and was a Systems Administrator for the Raleigh Convention Center.

Surviving are her son David Jonathan Miller and wife Ashlee, three grandchildren, Christopher, Kaylei and Annabelle. Her mother, Ruth Miller Carpenter, sister Sara Manning, two brothers John Miller Jr. and wife Stella, David Glenn Miller and wife Lynda, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at the Brentwood Community Center, 3315 Vinson Court, Raleigh. There will also be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at the First Baptist Church in Plymouth, followed by visitation in the fellowship hall.
