In the spirit of summer, it’s only right that people take advantage of the warm weather and spend more time outside. Whether you’re taking a special trip to a National Park or simply enjoying open-air activities with family or friends, memorable times are meant to be savored. According to a recent U.S. Cellular survey, nearly 82 percent of people use their cellphone as their primary camera.
U.S. Cellular will host a free Device Workshop in Washington on Aug. 25 at 9 a.m. at 875 W. 15th St., where associates will recommend tips on how residents can use their devices to plan for outdoor fun and how to restore their phone if it takes an accidental “swim.” The workshop is open to everyone, and attendees do not need to be a U.S. Cellular customer to attend.
“Our associates are available to assist residents in learning how to use their device to plan a National park adventure, find hiking trails and save their phone if it gets wet,” said Jeremy Taylor, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in eastern North Carolina. “It’s important to properly prepare for outdoor activities and protect your smartphone with accessories like waterproof, rugged cases to avoid mishaps that prevent you from capturing any moment.”
