Six Tyrrell County 4-H’ers attended the State 4-H Congress in Raleigh July 21-24, which attracted more than 500 young people and their adult leaders for presentations on a variety of subjects, leadership and citizenship training, service opportunities, officer elections and more. Lydia Swain, daughter of Buddy and Susan Swain of Columbia, received State Gold for her portfolio on Expressive Arts.
