On Aug. 31, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Derontae Peele, 24 years of age, of 3085 Highway 33 West in Grimesland.

Peele was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver oxycodone a schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Peele’s arrest stemmed from Investigators making purchases of cocaine from Peele and executing a search on Peele’s residence. Investigators and K-9 Bodi found crack cocaine, oxycodone pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia used to prepare and package a controlled substance.

Peele was detained in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a

$15,000 secured bond.
