Beaufort County Community College issued the following advisory at 4:40 p.m. on Monday:

In preparation for Hurricane Florence, Beaufort County Community College is making emergency preparations. Staff are securing buildings, vehicles and computer systems. The college is taking the storm seriously and advises students and employees to do the same.

At this time, all Tuesday classes, including those in the evening, are proceeding as scheduled. BCCC will make an announcement at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 11, about any closings.
