UPDATE: Beaufort County road status

According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation:

  • U.S. 264 is impassable due to flooding in Washington from U.S. 17 to East 12th Street.
  • U.S. 264 is impassable due to storm surge and heavy rains in Pantego near NC-99.
  • U.S. 264 is impassable due to flooding from NC-99 in Pantego to the Pungo River.
  • U.S. 17 south of Washington is impassable due to flooding.
  • NC-33 near Aurora is impassable due to flooding from NC-306 to Campbell Creek Drive.
  • NC-32 in Washington Park near Brick Kiln Road (State Road 1303) is impassable due to storm surge, heavy rains and downed trees.
