Music is one of the few languages that is both unique and diverse. Arts of the Pamlico is proud to foster, support and offer to patrons a wide array of music. At any given time, a patron could come to the historic Turnage Theatre and enjoy the sounds of any genre of music.

Free events are coming up, which started Sept. 20 with Chatham Rabbits, sponsored by the Beaufort County Traditional Music Association.

Rock the Pamlico will be bringing the music of The Beatles to life on Sept. 28 with “Get Back — A Special Tribute Night to the Beatles.” The evening begins at 6 p.m. with live music that will span the entirety of the Beatles career. The music will lead up to the presentation of the film “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” at 7:30 p.m. Costumes are encouraged for this event, great prizes will be awarded by local celebrity judges. This is a night Beatles fans will certainly enjoy. Music and the film can all be enjoyed for a great price of only $5.

Looking into October, great, free music will continue. The United States Air Force Jazz Ensemble will be performing for free on Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. Come early and take in a retrospective of the works of local artist Alice Stallings, opening at 5 p.m.

Washington’s own Adam Brinson returns to the Turnage with the Outboards on Oct. 12, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the Outboards are $10 cash or $12 credit card.
