Looking for something spooky to do in celebration of All Hallow’s Eve? As it stands, a wealth of Halloween events are scheduled for this this weekend and the beginning of next week, with options available for both kids and adults. The following is a comprehensive list of Halloween happenings in Beaufort County during the next few days:

Oct. 26

Second annual “N.C. Estuscarium” event from 5 to 8 p.m. Join staff at the N.C. Estuarium for an evening of interest in all things that bump, skitter or crawl. Carnival games, face painting and interactive presentations abound. Costumes are encouraged.

Halloween Costume Party at Brown Library for children ages 5 to 12. All kids must be accompanied by an adult and costumes are encouraged. Event lasts from 4 to 5 p.m.

Halloween Spooktacular at the Turnage Theatre. A presentation of the Arts of the Pamlico Bubblegum Theater, this original show takes the stage at 6 p.m. tonight. Cost is $5 cash or $7 with a credit card.

“The Ghostbusters” on screen at the Turnage Theatre, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

 

Oct. 27

Washington Harbor District Alliance presents “A Wicked Affair” at the Turnage Theatre. Beginning at 6 p.m., the WHDA will be hosting a fiendishly frightening event featuring dinner, live music and a costume contest. Tickets are on sale through today at www.whda.org or at the Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce.

Zombie 5K Fun Run, benefiting Relay for Life of Beaufort-Hyde Counties. Registration begins on site at 4 p.m. Registration is $30 for ages 16 and older and $20 for ages 15 and younger. For more information, call 252-402-5046.

Halloween party at Backwater Jack’s Tiki Bar and Grill. Live music, specials and costume contest.

 

Oct. 26-27

Zombie Thrill Ride at Hematoma Paintball Fields. Ride in the specialized “Assault trailer” and help the staff clear all the zombies on site. 7 p.m. to midnight. Single ride admission is $10. For more information, visit www.zombiethrillride.com.

 

Oct. 26-27, Oct. 31, Nov. 2-3

Nights of Fright at Raised in a Barn Farm in Chocowinity. Visitors can experience the terrifying Black Hollow Run haunted trail through the first weekend of November. Event runs from 8 p.m. to midnight each night. Entry fee is $20 or $15 for military, first responders, teachers and nurses with ID. Recommended for ages 13 and up, childcare is available.

 

Oct. 27, Oct. 31

Washington Haunts Ghost Walk, led by Terry Rollins. The last two walks of the season are set for Saturday and Halloween Night. Ticket sales begin at 6:30 p.m. and the walk starts at 7 p.m. Price is $15 per person, cash only. Walk meets in Harding Square garden, beside the Washington Visitor Center.

 

Oct. 30

Trunk or Treat at Washington Yacht & Country Club, held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Event meets at the 19^th Hole Parking Lot and is open to members and their guests.

 

Oct. 31

Aurora community Trunk or Treat, Piggly Wiggly parking lot, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Frankentoys event at Brown Library from 4 to 5 p.m. Bring your own toys and create nightmarish toys of your own. Intended for ages 13 to 18.

Trunk or Treat Carnival at First Baptist Church Washington, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Event features candy, popcorn, sno cones, cotton candy and games.

Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat at Washington Assembly of God beginning at 6:30 p.m. Event features free food, candy, games, inflatables, a costume contest, hayrides and more.

Costume contest at Grub Brothers Eatery from 6 to 8 p.m.

Pet Costume Contest at the Wine Crate from 7 to 9 p.m.
