Superintendent announces three Tyrrell Schools grants

Tyrrell County Schools recently received notification of three grants, Superintendent Oliver Holley stated Oct. 26.

A North Carolina Arts Council grant in the amount of $7,196 will allow the district to provide students with multicultural learning opportunities in the arts.

A Rural Utilities Service DLT grant of more than $24,000 will be used to purchase and/or upgrade Distance Learning & Telemedicine hardware for Columbia High School campus.

And a Duke Energy science grant will provide science lab kits that Tyrrell Elementary School students will use in hands-on learning opportunities.
