After receiving a tip, deputies with the Tyrrell County Sheriff’s Office arrested Caswell A. Deaver, 43, of Columbia for failure to appear on child support charges in Washington County, Sheriff Darryl Liverman reported.

Deaver had been eluding authorities on the charges over eight years and was in arrears $90,000 on child support payments, the sheriff stated.

Deaver was placed in Washington County Detention Center without bond.
