The Ocracoke Health Center will host a Healthy Holidays Health Fair on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Department. The public is invited to learn about medication safety, healthy food options for the holidays and more. The health coach, a community outreach initiative from the Outer Banks Hospital, will travel to Ocracoke and offer free wellness screenings that day. Hyde County Health Department will join us at our Health Fair and have resources about their substance abuse task force. They will also be having a drug take back program that day to help you safely dispose of unused or expired medication.
