The owners of Tienda Mexicana Peniel #2 (Peniel Mexican Store) at 201-B Main Street were recently granted authority to paint the exterior of their restaurant/grocery a “deep red” and replace “Scuppernong Mill House” with the business name. At the same time the Columbia Historic District Commission denied their request to fly a “banana” banner from the rooftop.
