From Bath Community Library
In the spirit of the season, the Bath Community Library is holding a pet food drive today to benefit the Pet Food Pantry of Eastern North Carolina and Paws and Love.
The Pet Food Pantry is a charitable food resource helps prevent the abandonment or surrender of animals when their families are no longer able to feed them. Paws and Love takes in at risk cats and kittens who have been abandoned or somehow found themselves living on the streets. Dry dog and cat food is preferred.
The highlight of the pet food drive is today’s Christmas party at 3:30 p.m. Guests to the party are asked to bring a pet food donation. Staff members from Pamlico Animal Hospital will be on hand with some of their special animal friends. Girl Scouts from Troop 4324 will be leading the crafting of a braided dog chew toy. Enjoy refreshments while making a gift that will benefit our community.
The Bath Community Library is located at 102 S. Harding St. in Bath. For more information, call 252-923-6371 or go the Bath Community Library Facebook page.
