Mr. William Stanley Warren, age 75, a resident of Chocowinity, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, at Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Chocowinity.
Mr. Warren was born on Jan. 25, 1943, to the late Jasper Warren and Annie Myrtle Mills Warren. He graduated from Chocowinity High School and went on to attend N.C. State University and Wilson Tech. Mr. Warren retired as a Wildlife Resource Commission Captain. He was an owner of Warrens Sport Headquarters and Lewis & Warren Family Farms. Mr. Warren served on the Social Services Board, the Beaufort County Board of Education and the FSA Board.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Lewis Warren, of the home; a son, Tracy Warren and girlfriend Yvonne Pleasant, of Chocowinity and Durham; a daughter, Zina Warren Burbage and husband David, of Belhaven; a granddaughter, Davey Ann Burbage Little and husband Phillip, of Winterville; three grandsons, Gray Burbage and wife Kayla, of Bath, Brian Warren and wife Whitney, of Belhaven, Will Warren, of Chocowinity; a great-grandson, Tyner Little; a brother, Samuel Warren and wife Pamela, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and a sister-in-law, Carol B. Warren, of Chocowinity.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Gary Warren.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, in the Fellowship Hall of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and other times at the home.
