CHRISTMAS SUCCESS: This year set a benchmark for local nonprofit Magoo’s Christmas for Veterans. Utilizing community donations, the organization was able to purchase Christmas gifts for every last resident of the North Carolina State Veterans Home in Kinston. Shopping through a variety of retailers, the organization was able to find deals on items specifically requested by each veteran. Additionally, the organization was able to completely restock the home’s free canteen with snacks and drinks.
