The 26th annual celebration to honor The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Tyrrell County will be held on Monday, January 21, with the theme, “Keeping the Dream of Unity, Tolerance, and Hope,” Valoria Fenner, spokeswoman for the Tyrrell County Concerned Citizens Committee, has announced.

This observance, sponsored by the Committe, will begin at 11 a.m. with a short program on the front lawn of the Tyrrell County Courthouse on Main Street in Columbia.

Then those assembled will march to the Madge L. VanHorne Auditorium to continue the tribute to Dr. King Jr. (In the event of bad weather, all activities will be held in the auditorium).
