The Bath High School Class of 1965 began its 53^rd class reunion on Oct. 13, with breakfast at Old Town Country Kitchen in Bath with 19 classmates and their guests.

At 6 p.m., the social hour began at Pirate Hall at the Bath High School with 41 classmates and their guests. Barbara (Keech) Gurkin and Sharon (Williams) Thompson greeted guests and passed out name tags. Barbara Gurkin took pictures of each classmate and their guest. Everyone renewed old acquaintances and caught up on past happenings in 53 years.

A meal of pork loin, chicken breast, mashed potatoes with gravy, string beans and brownies and banana pudding was served by Keyzer Catering and enjoyed by all.

Ruth (Webster) Dorkin welcomed everyone and conducted the events of the evening. James Everett gave the invocation and Wilson Paul said the roll call.

A moment of silent meditation was observed in memory of lost classmates: Nelda (Boyd) Tetterton, Mike Cutler, Wayland Black, Katherine (Slade) Godley, Steve Askew, Neil Alligood, Dallas Pinkham, Pat (Hawkins) Harris, Buster Tetterton, Linda (Credle) Lueabe, Jimmy Swanner and Linda (Turnage) White. A memorial table also held photographs of the lost classmates, fixed nicely by Sandra (Chrismon) Alligood. Wilson Paul said a prayer after the moment of silence.

Barbara (Cox) Sullivan conducted the business session, which included the financial report memorial fund balance and committee updates. Classmates discussed having the next class reunion in 2021. The same committee will handle the reunion at that time.

Door prizes donated by the class members were passed out by Barbara Gurkin, Wilson Paul, James Everett, Sharon Thompson, Ruth Dorkin and Barbara (Cox) Sullivan. Everyone received a door prize.

Closing prayer was held by Starley Stell.
