During the month of February, our local veterinarian hospitals will conduct spaying and neutering procedures at reduced rates for cats and dogs. Appointments, prior to the operation, are necessary, and they are being taken now. Call to make your appointment at one of the following veterinarian hospitals:

In addition to the reduced rates, the Humane Society of Beaufort County will give financial assistance where necessary. For more information, call 252-946-1591. This offer is open to residents of Beaufort County.

Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

Orangeade

Friendly, loving, gentle and easygoing, Tulip likes interacting with people, receiving their attention and belly rubs. This approximately 1-year-old large girl is listed as a Labrador retriever mix. Pretty in her shorthair, white and black/brown brindle coat, Tulip deserves loving, attentive owner(s) who will give her exercise/play, preferably in a fenced area or on a leash, take her with them on their outings, give a bit of obedience training and. of course, a good forever home.
