The Rev. Kenneth Wayne Downing, 60, a resident of 1055 Weathervane Hill Drive, Rocky Mount, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Nash General Health System, Rocky Mount. Visitation will be held from 12:50 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. today at St. John AME Zion Church, 250 Atlantic Ave., Rocky Mount, followed by a funeral at 2 p.m. with Bishop Richard K. Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Watson Memorial Garden, Horton Town Road, Roper. Arrangements are by Puckett-Purkett Funeral Service, Roper.
