Craig Edward Tomlinson

Craig Edward Tomlinson, 55, passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019. Craig was born in Raleigh and was the son of the late Maurice Selby and Anne Britts Tomlinson. Craig will be remembered lovingly by his family and friends as a smart, funny, quirky, and big-hearted guy who loved family, reading, great eats and drinks, big machinery and fast cars. Craig served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1982 to 1986. He was living and working in Laurens County, SC.
Craig was survived by his five siblings Denise Radford (Jesse) of Hillsville, VA; Mauri Tomlinson (LaRenda) of Okeechobee, FL; Jon Tomlinson (Robin) of Modesto, CA; Susan Tomlinson of Florence, SC; Glenn Tomlinson of Elon; and honorary brother Richard Gibbs of Clayton. Craig had nine nephews and nieces: J.D. Radford, Stephen Radford, Hannah Sutter, Maurisa Tremain, David Tomlinson, Sydney Tomlinson, Chris Tomlinson, Ethan Muldrow, and Rachel Tomlinson, and a host of other family members and friends. A memorial service and internment was held at the Tomlinson Family Cemetery in Lucama, on Saturday, February 23, 2019.
