DESIGNER IN THE MAKING: Congratulations to Mya Blount at Colrine’s Home Day Care afterschool program for creating the T-shirt design for the Children’s Parade and Festival on April 11 at Festival Park during the Week of the Young Child. The Beaufort-Hyde Partnership for Children hosts the event in celebration of the community’s youngest learners and will be “Painting the Town Blue”’ in support of child abuse prevention. The Partnership asks local businesses and organizations to wear blue to show support that all children deserve to be happy, healthy and safe.
