Mrs. Lillian Heller Clark, age 88, a resident of 2245 Old New Bern Road, Chocowinity, N.C., died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at her home.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Wesley Cemetery of Chocowinity officiated by the Rev. Joshua Rager. Jimmy Harris Jr., Billy Avery, Darin Nelson, Edrew Samuel Clark Jr., Brandon McCarter and Brian Tuck will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Clark was born in Anderson County, S.C., on Aug. 4, 1922, daughter of the late Louis Edrew Heller and the late Mary Honeycutt Heller. She married Earl David Clark Sr. on Dec. 8, 1941, who preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2001. Mrs. Clark was a member of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church of Chocowinity.

Family members include a daughter: Mary Louise Clark Harris and her husband Jimmy of Chocowinity; three sons: Earl David Clark Jr. and his wife JoAnn of Muskogee, Okla., Edrew Samuel Clark Sr. and his wife Jewell of Hartsville, S.C., and Melvin Gene Clark of McAllen, Texas; seven grandchildren: Jimmy Harris Jr. and wife Jennifer, Dr. Rachel McCarter and husband Brandon, Becky Avery and husband Billy, Dr. Jennifer Tuck and husband Brian, Jeffry David Clark, Jamie Sizemore and husband Hoyt as well as 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
