Mrs. Ann Dupree Cagle Keel, 83, of 8381 U.S. Highway 64, Robersonville, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at Martin General Hospital in Williamston.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home in Robersonville with Jimmy Elks officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Keel was born in Stanley County on March 17, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Sallie Morris Cagle. On March 11, 1944, she married George Wiley Keel, who preceded her in death Oct. 16, 1988. She was a retired nurse’s assistant. She was a member of Gold Point Christian Church, where she served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and board member.
Survivors include two daughters, Georgia K. Wilson of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Sue K. Bunting of Davidson; one son, Wiley Keel of La Grange; three sisters, Dora Diaz of Jacksonville, Betty Adams of Rockingham and Helen Hatley of Charlotte; one brother, Bill Cagle of Palm Bay, Fla.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home in Robersonville and other times at the home.
