Building permits were issued in the July 2018 through April 2019 period for one stick-built, two modular, and eight mobile homes, Joie Spencer, Tyrrell County building inspector, reported recently.

In the same 10-month period of the previous fiscal year, the figures were two stick-built, two modular, and five mobile home permits issued.

No commercial building permits were issued in FY 18 or through April of FY 19, the report showed.

In all of FY 18, 206 permits were issued for whole-house construction as well as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, repairs and additions. Through April 2019, the total was 97 permits issued.
