SPECIAL GUEST: As Inner Banks STEM Center kicked off its summer camp programming for Summer 2019, North Carolina Representative Keith Kidwell paid a special visit to the program on Monday. Kidwell, who supported the program financially prior to being elected, expressed his continuing support for IBX STEM and the lessons it teaches, from boating, aviation and STEM to character education and life skills. “Not only are they giving a presentation of STEM, but they’re also giving a presentation of how the children should act, how to present themselves and trying to build confidence in them so they can go out and face what challenges they’re going to have in the real world,” Kidwell said.
