From Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft

Starting in July Pocosin Arts will introduce a new community program funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. The program has an exciting schedule that will take place on Saturdays, offering family friendly, hands-on arts and craft based activities that are free of charge. Pocosin Arts’ three resident artists in clay, metals and digital fabrication will lead these projects. Seven projects will be held at the Edenton Farmers Market and ten additional projects will take place at Pocosin Arts’ studios in downtown Columbia. Pocosin is looking forward to meeting families from Tyrrell, Chowan, Perquimans, Washington, Dare and Hyde counties.

• August 17: All About Laser Cutting at Pocosin Arts
• September 7: Make Your Own Necklace From Resin at Edenton Farmers Market
• September 14: Make Your Own Ceramic Plate at Pocosin Arts
• October 5: Paint Your Own Pumpkin or Gourd at Edenton Farmers Market

Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft was founded in 1994 by Feather Phillips in Columbia. The mission and purpose of Pocosin Arts is to promote opportunities for lifelong learning through the arts.
