National Night Out

National Night Out will be observed in Columbia on August 6.
There will be a dunking booth, local vendors, 4-H exhibits, a drug dog demonstration, presentations by local law enforcement officers, firefighers, and paramedics, and other activities.
Free hot dogs, chips and soft drinks will be available.
This annual event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Tyrrell Hall at 906 U.S. Hwy 64 East, and is sponsored by the Tyrrell County Sheriff’s Office.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
