In lieu of hurricane Dorian, the sports schedules for area high schools has been thrown for a loop. With Dorian’s projected track to effect eastern North Carolina beginning late Wednesday afternoon through Friday, many changes have been made already, and there will likely be more to follow.
Northside’s football matchup against Camden County has been moved to Wednesday, with kickoff still at 7 p.m. Depending on the timing of Dorian’s arrival, the game time and date is still subject to change.
Southside’s football game at Perquimans has been moved to each team’s bye week on Friday, Oct. 4. The Seahawks’ soccer game at Farmville Central on Wednesday has been cancelled. The junior varsity football game against Perquimans at home will also not be played on Thursday. A make up date is possible.
Washington High School doesn’t have any cancellations yet, but according to coach Blank, the Pam Pack will not play D.H. Conley before Friday. The game will likely be moved to Saturday or Monday depending on the many factors related to hurricane Dorian. Game times and dates will likely continue to change throughout the week, stay updated by checking back with this post.
