Have you ever wanted to get a better picture of the business community in Beaufort County?

On Oct. 2, the 2019 Business and Tourism Expo will offer the chance to do so. This year’s event comes through a partnership between the Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce, the Washington Tourism Development Authority and the Beaufort County Community College Small Business Center.

“It’s a great opportunity to come see what local businesses and nonprofits in the area have to offer,” said Chamber Assistant Director Robin McKeithan. “It provides a great networking opportunity.”

More than 30 businesses from throughout Beaufort County are slated to set up tables at the expo, sharing information about who they are and what they do. The businesses present will represent a wide variety of industries, and space is still available for businesses wishing to participate.

The expo will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Washington Civic Center, followed by a Chamber Business After Hours from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Special offerings during the expo include flu shots from Hospital Pharmacy, a free seminar on improving your business’ online presence by Martin Brossman and updates on a local projects in the works.

“It’s important for people to know what businesses and services are available in Beaufort County so they can shop local before going elsewhere,” McKeithan said.
