Woman charged with selling pills in Chocowinity

On Oct. 10, The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Margie Lee Roberson, 58. Roberson was living at the Baymont Hotel in Chocowinity. She was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver Oxymorphone, a schedule II controlled substance, within 1,000 feet of Chocowinity Middle School, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Roberson’s arrest stemmed from investigators executing a search warrant on her hotel room after making purchases of schedule II prescription pain pills from Roberson. Investigators found schedule II prescription pain pills, marijuana and digital scales.

Roberson was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
