The Belhaven Alumni Club will host its annual fall festival this weekend, bringing a carnival-like atmosphere to Belhaven. The event will feature fun, games, face painting, corn hole and an inflatable slide for the kids.

The Belhaven Alumni Club was formed when the local school system was first integrated and has members from Belhaven High School, John A. Wilkinson High School and Northside High School.

“Membership is open to anybody who attended the Belhaven schools,” said club president Cynthia Heath. “… It’s almost like an intergenerational family organization.”

The festival will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Belhaven Civic Center, and the public is cordially invited.
