Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

Holly

Beautiful, friendly and listed as an approximately 2-year-old, medium-size, American shorthair girl, meet Holly. She’s ready to step out dressed elegantly with black and white bicolor markings, huge yellow-green eyes and rosebud nose. Friendly, sweet and shy, Rowan is listed as an 8-year-old, tan and black retriever mix. This large, handsome fellow needs loving, kind, attentive owner(s) who will spend time with him, give him age appropriate exercise — play can be included — preferably in a fenced area or on a leash, take him on their outings, give him some obedience training and, of course, a good forever home.
