Pets of the Week: Jan. 4, 2020

Published 7:00 pm Friday, January 3, 2020

Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To see more animals available for adoption, visit www.petango.com/beaufortcountyNC, visit ENC Shelter Dogs and ENC Shelter Cats on Facebook or call 252-946-4517 for more information. The Humane Society of Beaufort County can also be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/BeaufortCountyNCHumaneSociety.

Requests for more information with regard to the animals appearing in Pets of the Week may be directed to shelter staff in person at the shelter during business hours or by emailing animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us — always use the animal’s ID number.

Please note, the shelter is closed on the first Wednesday of each month for cleaning and maintenance.

Miley

A friendly girl who likes interacting with people, that’s Miley, a large, 4-year-old American pit bull terrier mix. Beautifully dressed in her tan and white shorthair coat, she’s eager to please, and she will do best with a loving, attentive and active family/owner(s) who will spend time with her, include her in their activities, give her plenty of regular exercise and play in a fenced area or on a leash, give her some obedience training and, of course, a good forever home. For more on Miley, ID No. 2047, see Facebook’s ENC Shelter Dog page. Come meet her; she’s available at the shelter.

Oliver

At approximately 2 years old, Oliver, an American shorthair tabby, is a big, handsome guy decked out in his beautifully colored, champagne-ginger-orange-striped coat with white bib and paws. This magnificent cat is friendly, lovable and calm, and he will be a wonderful and welcome addition in a good, loving forever home. For more on Oliver, ID No. 2062, see Facebook’s Friends of Beaufort County Shelter Cats Page. Pay him a visit; you’ll be glad you did. He is available at the shelter.
