Local schools and childcare facilities have announced plans for early dismissals and closures for Thursday afternoon. The following local schools and facilities are affected:

• Beaufort County Schools — 2-hour early dismissal. All after school activities are cancelled.
• Beaufort County Community College — Closing early at 2 p.m. today.
• Beaufort County Child Development Center — Closing at 5 p.m.
• Boys and Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plains — Closed Thursday.
• Care-O-World Early Learning Center — Closing at 5 p.m.
• Northeast Regional School of Biotechnology and Agriscience — Early dismissal at 1:15 p.m. All after school activities cancelled.
• Unity Christian Academy — On schedule for the remainder of the day.  All after school activities, after school care cancelled.
• Washington Montessori Public Charter School — 2-hour early dismissal. K-6 closing at 1 p.m., middle and high school closing at 1:15 p.m.
• Mattamuskeet Campus Schools — Dismissing today at noon.
