Mrs. Rachel Basnight Swain, 90, of 301 W. 26th St., Norfolk, Va., died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at home.
A funeral will be conducted today at 1:30 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Sammie D. Black officiating. Burial will follow in Community Cemetery, Columbia.
Mrs. Swain was born in Tyrrell County on March 13, 1917. She was the daughter of the late William H. and Della B. Basnight. She had been employed as a barber.
Survivors include two grandchildren.
