INTO COMMISSION: 2nd Judicial District Court Judge Keith Mason swore in Beaufort County Commissioner Ed Booth as a newly appointed member of the Martin Luther King Jr. Commission on Thursday. The commission is part of the North Carolina Department of Administration works to ensure appropriate ceremonies take place throughout the state honoring the legal holiday, as well as promote awareness and appreciation of King’s life and work as a Civil Rights leader.
