The Martin-Tyrrell-Washington Health Department reported Sunday that Tyrrell County has had 99 cases of coronavirus-19 disease since the outbreak began in March.

Ninety of the infected persons have recovered, and there has been one death.

Martin County has reported 266 persons testing positive for the disease, with 230 recovered and six deaths.

Washington County reports 135 cases, with 115 recovered and four deaths.

The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 213 countries and territories around the world.

Total cases in North Carolina are 136,218, with 2,168 deaths and 105,093 recovered.

Nationwide there have been 5,199,444 cases reported, with 165,617 deaths and 2,644,701 recovered.

The health department also states that total cases around the globe are 20,024,263, with 733,995 deaths and 12,898,238 recovered.

Ninety-one North Carolina counties have reported at least one death.

18.9% of Tar Heels have been tested, and six percent were positive. In Martin County 2,937 or 13.1% of population have been tested; in Tyrrell 537 or 13.4% of population tested; and in Washington County 1,536 or 13.3% tested.
