A pork barbecue and fried chicken plate fundraiser will be held on Friday, Oct. 2., sponsored by the Inner Banks Hotline.

The meal, prepared by Captain Bob’s in Hertford, will also include cole slaw, green beans and hushpuppies.

Price per plate is $8.50, and homemade desserts will be available for an additional $1.50 each.

Plates and desserts will be available for pickup from the Food Lion parking lot in Columbia between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Oct. 2.

All proceeds will be used to benefit victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

“Even though we could not have our usual 5K Run this year because of COVID-19, we still wanted to have our plate sales,” said community advocate Brenda Wynn. “Hope you all come out to support.”
