Mr. Terry Lee Waters, age 64, a resident of 4554 River Road, Washington, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Old Ford Church of Christ and will be officiated by Eddie Bowen. Burial will follow in the Bayview Community Cemetery. Robbie Roberson, Richard Gerard, Roger Winstead, Danny Alligood, Phil Stalls and Frank Sheldon will serve as pallbearers. Elders and deacons of Old Ford Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Waters was born in Beaufort County on Jan. 2, 1947, son of the late Lee Norwood Waters and Inda Paul Woolard Waters. He was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1965. He married the former Brenda Stalls, who preceded him in death on Aug. 23, 2003. On Aug. 12, 2005, he married the former Sue Boyd, who survives.  Mr. Waters was employed as an industrial engineer. His career included National Spinning, Liberty Fabrics and Grady-White boats. He also worked with Colleen Lupton Insurance and Allstate Insurance. Mr. Waters was a member of Old Ford Church of Christ where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and loved to travel.

In addition to his wife, Sue of the home, he is survived by his son: Tyler Waters and wife Ann Marie of Fuquay-Varina and their children, Quinn, Garrison and Brock and his daughter: Allison Allen of Greenville and her children: Blake Belrose, Walker Allen, Jack Allen and Robert Allen; stepchildren: Roger Winstead and wife Connie of Bayview, Sherry Martin and husband Sam of Hampton, Va., and Tenia Maurer and husband Eric of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; step-grandchildren: Heather Jordan, Justin Winstead, Adam Frowein, Kirsten Shackelford, Wyatt Shackelford and Brad Winstead.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Paul Funeral Home in Washington and other times at the home.
