Beaufort County reported two more COVID-19-related deaths on Friday, increasing the county’s coronavirus death toll to 58. Friday’s report also included 24 new COVID-19 cases.

The Beaufort County Office of Emergency Services and Beaufort County Health Department now know of 306 active cases of COVID-19; four of those individuals are hospitalized.

The county’s total case count is now at 1,988. North Carolina’s case count is now 432,623 after 7,540 cases were reported Friday. The state has also recorded 5,752 deaths; 38 new deaths were reported Friday,
