Vance H. Davenport

Vance Hoyle Davenport, 59, passed away Saturday December 12, 2020. A private graveside service will be conducted in Pamlico Memorial Gardens and a meal for the family will be provided by Athens Chapel Church of Christ.

Vance, a lifelong resident of Beaufort County, was a 1980 graduate of Bath High School and worked as a professional painter. He enjoyed the beach and was an avid animal lover. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Scott Davenport; parents, Julius and Elizabeth Davenport; and three infant brothers. 

Vance is survived by his children, Connie Woolard and husband Derek of Hampstead, Joshua Davenport, Dakota Davenport, both of Bath, and Mariah Gurkin of Washington; grandson, Dylan Woolard of Hampstead; siblings, Nora Guirkins, Anna Dunn, Luette Cuthrell, Julias Davenport, Jr. and Dwight Davenport; along with many cherished extended family members.
