Arts of the Pamlico and Flying Pig Provisions partner for next arts council project

The Arts of the Pamlico is partnering with Flying Pig Provisions to create a line of art postcards and more with the latest arts council project – Wish You Were Here.
The themed show is both an art contest and show. All works of art all welcome. Mediums from paint to fiber depicting Washington, NC as the subject with two highlights representative of the show sponsors.
Submission(s), up to two per artist, must include the Historic Turnage Theatre marquee and a flying pig. These images can be embedded in any way the artist chooses — from bold to subtle, whimsical to realistic…let your creativity shine! Images must be original and may not be copyrighted.
Artists must be members of the Arts of the Pamlico. Membership is $20 for students and $30 for Artists. Membership may be purchased online at artsofthepamlico.org/membership. Students and beginners, seasoned and award winning artists alike are encouraged to submit their creations.
Submissions are requested both by email and in person, Email your submissions any time to Pam at p.andersonaop@gmail.com. Drop off your artwork and complete the short form to share the title, price and artist contact information on February 27 between 10 AM – 2 PM at the Historic Turnage Theatre in downtown Washington, NC.

The size of the work may be no more than 50 pounds and no larger than 36″ x 48″. All works must be ready to be hung or displayed in the Turnage Gallery.
One work of art from the show will be selected for a purchase prize of $350 by the show sponsors — Arts of the Pamlico and Flying Pig Provisions. The winning piece of art will be purchased for exclusive use by AOP and FPP with credit to the artist.
