BELHAVEN – The Parks and Recreation Commission will hold Easter Fest, a fundraising event for the department, on Saturday, April 3 and Sunday, April 4.
The event will consist of food truck and nonfood vendors with goods like jewelry, crafts, and clothing in addition to photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. A coed softball tournament will also be held during the event.
The commission plans to hold the event on Railroad Street near the sports complex. The event will begin on April 3 at 11:00 a.m. and end after the final softball game of the day. The event will begin on April 4 at 3:00 p.m. and continue throughout the day until the championship softball game is over.
The Board of Aldermen approved the closure of Railroad Street for this event during Monday’s meeting. An inclement weather plan is in place in the event of rain.
